WE ARE META is hiring a Senior AI Engineer (AI Systems) to join a fully remote team based in Portugal. You will design, build, and productionize AI systems that plan, write code, validate outputs, and improve over time, leveraging Python, Docker, and advanced LLM toolkits.

The role requires strong experience with LLM engineering, RAG, vector stores, and orchestration tools, plus a solid cloud data platform background and English proficiency at B2 level.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of professional experience as an AI Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong production software engineering skills: Python, testing, packaging, CI/CD, async, REST, and Docker.
• AI SDLC experience in production environments.
• Real depth in LLM application engineering: prompt design, function calling, structured outputs, RAG, vector stores, and experience with the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs.
• Experience building agentic systems end-to-end: systems that plan, write code, validate their own output, and improve over time.
• Familiarity with the orchestration landscape (LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, CrewAI).
• Working fluency with at least one cloud data platform and SQL.
• Fluency in English (at least a B2 level).
