BMC Software in Portugal is seeking a Senior AI Data Architect / Solution Engineer to design scalable data architectures and to build AI products that empower business users with trusted data.

The role is remote, hands-on, and requires setting technical blueprints, leading design reviews, and partnering with data engineering to deliver production-grade solutions. Strong Python/SQL, Snowflake, DBT, and LLM experience preferred.

Qualificações

• 8+ years in data architecture and hands-on engineering.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with experience in Snowflake and DBT.
• Proven experience designing and building LLM/agentic solutions (RAG, tool calling, orchestration).
• Deep understanding of semantic layers as the bridge between data and business meaning for trustworthy AI.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and influence architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and execution in fast-moving environments.

Responsabilidades

• Architecture for Scale — design reference architecture and delivery patterns for governed data from semantic layer to dashboards, apps, and AI agents at scale.
• AI Data Products & Agents — build the Data Agent and orchestrate workflows with tool calling, retrieval, evaluation and guardrails.
• Semantic Foundation — co-design the semantic layer (HoneyDew / DBT) to power analytics and AI.
• Technical Leadership — lead design reviews, set patterns, and mentor engineers; partner with Data Engineer to productionize designs.
• Business Translation — convert ambiguous business problems into concrete technical requirements and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Ownership & Execution — deliver features end-to-end and adapt to evolving requirements.
