Syffer is seeking an Energy Systems Engineer to lead protection and automation design for substations. You will translate client needs into robust architectures, configure IEDs, RTUs and SCADA networks, and oversee FAT/SAT and commissioning with hands-on discipline.

The role also includes fault analysis, documentation, project support and mentoring of junior engineers. A strong electrical engineering background and 4+ years in protection/automation are required, with hands-on relay experience

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in substation automation, protection, control systems, or commissioning.
• Proven experience in system design, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
• Experience with protection relays and IEDs (Siemens, ABB, SEL, GE, Schneider, EFACEC, etc.).
• Knowledge of RTU/BCU, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols (IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, Modbus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and configure protection, control, and substation automation systems.
• Translate client requirements into technical solutions and system architectures.
• Configure IEDs, RTUs, SCADA systems, and communication networks.
• Execute FAT, SAT, commissioning, and testing activities.
• Analyse faults, disturbance records, and protection system performance.
• Produce technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
• Support project execution, client coordination, and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to innovation initiatives.
