Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Security Engineer to build a new runtime protection layer for Node.js applications. You will own the product direction, from concept through production deployment, combining security research with engineering execution.

The role emphasizes autonomous work, collaboration with security and engineering teams, and leveraging AI-assisted workflows to deliver impactful protection in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of Node.js runtime and JS ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of web app security principles and exploits.
• Ability to design large-scale detection logic with low false positives.
• Experience building security tools or runtime protection solutions.
• Able to own product direction and execution independently.

Responsibilities

• Define and build a new security product line focused on runtime protection in Node.js.
• Set technical strategy: instrumentation, deployment models, language choices, detection approaches.
• Design, develop, test, iterate from concept to production deployment.
• Establish detection methods distinguishing malicious activity from legitimate behavior.
• Utilize threat intel and AI-assisted workflows to enhance protection.
• Optimize protection against runtime performance, false positives, and customer impact.
• Collaborate with security specialists, architects and engineers while owning technical direction.
• Leverage modern tooling to accelerate delivery and improve quality.
• Monitor real-world telemetry and continuously improve detections.
