Job summary

Dev.Pro, a US-based outsourced software development company, seeks a Junior Test Automation Engineer to join our remote-first European team. You will create and run automated tests, review results, and help identify issues in complex cloud-based systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with performance testing and monitoring using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative, knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications

• Up to 1.5 years of experience in software testing or test automation.
• Understanding of software testing principles and QA practices.
• Basic programming or scripting skills in Python or Scala.
• Basic understanding of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, headers, payloads, and API status codes.
• Ability to execute tests, review results, and identify issues or unexpected behavior.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and run automated tests.
• Help investigate test failures and fix issues with automated tests.
• Execute pre-scripted performance tests, including Load, Stress, Spike, and Soak/Endurance tests.
• Record key performance metrics (latency, response times, throughput, error rates, and HTTP response codes).
• Monitor basic performance metrics using AWS CloudWatch.
• Review test results and identify anomalies and basic performance failures.
• Report anomalies and basic performance failures to intermediate and senior team members.
