Luza Group in Portugal is looking for a software engineer to design, build, and maintain internal applications across the full stack. You’ll own delivery end-to-end from requirements and design through deployment and support, and collaborate with stakeholders to transform business needs into technical specifications.

The role emphasizes building with Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL; scripting in Python, PowerShell, and VBA; and contributing to code reviews in an Agile environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• -3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong production experience with Oracle and/or MS SQL Server.
• Track record of delivering internal tools and enterprise applications.
• Professional certifications (Java, Microsoft, Oracle, or similar) are a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain internal applications across the full stack.
• Own delivery end-to-end: from requirements and design through deployment and support.
• Develop and maintain database objects across Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Write automation scripts in Python, PowerShell, and VBA to reduce manual effort.
• Analyze and refactor legacy applications (VB.NET, VBA, ASPX) for quality and performance.
• Work with stakeholders to turn business requirements into technical specifications.
• Lead code reviews and enforce development standards across the team.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across applications and databases, including root cause analysis.
• Maintain technical documentation in Confluence.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
