Job summary

TFS HealthScience is seeking a Freelance Clinical Research Associate (0.2 FTE) for a one-year contract, home-based in Portugal. The role covers initiation, on-site and remote monitoring, and close-out activities across sites, with potential up to 0.3 FTE during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science or nursing required or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant clinical experience or academic background in clinical trials.
• Experience in Urology or Overactive Bladder is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Good medical terminology understanding and scientific knowledge related to the assigned drugs and therapeutic areas.
• Strong knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a matrix team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 60–80% including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor on-site and remote trials in accordance with GCP/ICH and regulatory regulations.
• Verify informed consent procedures and protocol compliance.
• Review CRFs and source documentation for accuracy.
• Verify Investigational Product accountability.
• Timely reporting of monitoring findings and CAPAs.
• Provide site with action items from monitoring visits.
• Ensure timely TMF/ISF updates and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in audits and inspections as needed.
• Order, ship, and reconcile clinical supplies if applicable.
• Update CTMS and project systems with site information.
