Job summary

LUZA Group is seeking a cybersecurity-focused Firewall Specialist to define and optimize Check Point policies, support Identity Awareness, and assist with network segmentation from a remote position based in Portugal. Strong experience with Cisco, AD, Linux, Windows, and ELK is required.

The role emphasizes security audits, policy tooling, and collaboration with expert teams on long-term client projects across industries.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Check Point Firewall technologies with Identity Awareness.
• Strong cybersecurity and network security background.
• Knowledge of Tufin SecureTrack and SecureChange.
• Strong Cisco networking skills and TCP/IP knowledge.
• Knowledge of Active Directory concepts and authentication.
• Experience with Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server administration.
• Experience in firewall log analysis and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Elasticsearch / ELK for log enrichment and reporting.
• Fluent in Portuguese; business English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and optimize firewall policies and rulesets.
• Support network segmentation and location separation initiatives.
• Implement and support user-based firewalling with Check Point Identity Awareness.
• Coordinate firewall changes, routing updates, and migrations.
• Troubleshoot firewall, routing, and authentication issues.
• Perform firewall log analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Support internal and external security audits.
• Maintain and improve firewall policy management processes and tooling.
• Remote, based in Portugal.
