Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Data Platform Engineer (Mid-level) in Portugal to transform a data and ML platform into a scalable, self-service environment. You will build and improve deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code modules, and reusable tooling that makes data services easier to launch and maintain.

You will join an experienced Data & AI team, work across data engineering, backend development, and infrastructure, and have the opportunity to lead tooling roadmaps

Qualificações

• Deployment ownership: end-to-end responsibility for deployment path including pipelines and runbooks.
• Professional experience: ~2+ years in software, data, platform, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Technical education: degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Python and SQL: practical working knowledge used in engineering tasks.
• CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code: experience with pipelines and IaC practices.
• Code analysis and troubleshooting: ability to navigate codebases and explain design decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Improve CI/CD pipelines: analyze and adapt workflows for reliable software delivery.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code: extend and maintain modules with consistency.
• Apply data governance standards: implement naming, access controls, retention policies.
• Build self-service platform tooling: reusable templates for pipelines with minimal manual work.
• Create reusable modules: tools that simplify pipeline creation and standardize workflows.
• Improve technical documentation: runbooks, troubleshooting guides for engineers.
• Own data access workflows: manage access requests for data resources.
• Take ownership of platform tooling: roadmap, maintenance, technical direction.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines: work with data/backend/infrastructure teams.
• Use AI-assisted development: review AI-generated code and reasoning.
