Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel Portugal is seeking a data engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines supporting reporting, analytics and data-driven decisions. You will partner with analysts, product owners and engineers to deliver robust data solutions and improve our data platform.

Your role emphasizes data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and adherence to CI/CD, testing and version control practices. A remote-friendly setup and collaboration across teams are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with modern data stacks.
• Strong SQL, data modeling (dimensional, Data Vault) and large-scale DW experience.
• Proficient in Python; experience with Snowflake, dbt, and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain scalable data pipelines and transformations.
• Build data models enabling reporting, analytics, and insights.
• Apply data engineering best practices: testing, documentation, version control, CI/CD.
• Develop data orchestration workflows for reliable processing.
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners and engineers to deliver data solutions.
• Monitor data quality and troubleshoot issues; drive platform reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to improve practices.
