Qualificações

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-4 years of work experience in Project Management.
  • Post Graduation in Project Management is a plus.
  • SixSigma certifications are a plus.
  • English level: B2 – Upper Intermediate (must).
  • Analytical skills and strategic mindset.
  • Proficient decision‑making and problem solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with interest in improving processes and internal customer relationships.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead Ramp-up projects (IVS, SVS or Transfer machines) and complete projects on scope, plan and budget.
  • Create Ramp-up Project Agreements defining expectations, targets, KPI’s and timelines.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Drive troubleshooting and crisis management to recover ramp-up pace.
  • Forecast resources needed to hit objectives efficiently.
  • Report key KPIs, risks and issues to management.
  • Propose and implement process improvements.
  • Pursue continuous technical development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Transfer, Commissioning and Operations teams.
  • Make decisions in the absence of local leadership to ensure production continuity.
  • Participate in Lean activities.

The Ramp-up Engineer is responsible for managing ramp-up projects to contribute to the ramp-up of new technologies (including Transfer lines) to achieve key performances indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, cycle time, scrap rate, time to market and other project-specific metrics.

Key responsibilities include setting deadlines, forecasting resource requirements and closely monitoring project progress to ensure objectives are met. Additional duties involve preparing comprehensive progress reports for upper management, creating lessons learned, managing risks and developing mitigation plans, training teams and maintaining transparent communication with all stakeholders. During The ramp-up progress, the Ramp-up Engineer is responsible for identifying all machine or process issues and proposing solutions to be able to achieve the planned KPIs.

This role has a strong project management focus. It is a highly relevant position with both local and external visibility, as achieving the maximum potential of machines (whether transferred or new) as quickly as possible is essential. Along the way, it is also crucial to train a multidisciplinary team in the equipment and processes involved.

The Ramp-up Engineer supports the commissioning Department in case of new lines or new processes (IVS) and should obtain technical knowledge and methods for the equipment. Should also be able to train the prodution team on how to properly operate the machines.

He/She will work in cooperation with a Junior Engineer, forming a work team, where the responsibility for achieving the final goal rests with both.

Lead Ramp-up projects (IVS, SVS or Transfer machines) and ensure completion of projects according to scope, plan and budget

Create Ramp-up Project Agreement, according to template to define expectations, targets, KPI’s and time

Develop and manage a project schedule and work plan

Drive troubleshooting and crisis situations to get the ramp-up process back on track when needed

Predict resources needed to reach objectives in an effective and efficient manner

Report to the management relevant KPIs, risks and issues

Propose process improvements

Exploring continuously the possible technical developments

Works closely with the Transfer Team, Commissioning Team and the Operations Department

In the absence of the local manager and / or Supervisor, has the right to make decisions and to take the necessary steps to ensure the continuity of production

Participation in Lean activities

Knowledge of Power, Automation, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Mechanics, is a plus

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and lessons learned

Ensure that the project team have a customer driven approach

Drawing attention to the manager to any difficulties in understanding or following the guidelines

Drawing attention to inefficiency of the system

Performing their job in compliance with the guidelines given

Take responsibility for those safety aspects identified for the given position

What we expect from you:

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or relevant experience

3-4 years of work experience in Project Management

Post Graduation in Project Management, is plus

SixSigma certifications, is a plus

English Level: B2 – Upper Intermediate level (base on thescale of the Common European Framework) is amust

Recurrent travelling during the training period (up to some consecutive weeks)

Recurrent travelling during commissioning phases (up to 3 weeks)
