Komodo Consulting is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to join a technology project in Portugal. You will design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases, ensuring software quality across the delivery lifecycle.

The role emphasizes functional and non-functional validation, performance testing, and collaboration with DevOps teams. Ideal candidates have JMeter experience, Selenium/API testing skills, ISTQB certification, and at least 3 years in QA.

Qualificações

• ISTQB Certification or similar.
• 3+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• English level B2.
• Strong experience with performance testing using JMeter.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure software quality across the delivery lifecycle.
• Validate functional and non-functional requirements to guarantee system reliability and performance.
• Design and execute performance tests, including load and stress testing, based on non-functional requirements
• Analyze performance test results and identify system bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to improve overall quality and test coverage.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of test frameworks and continuous quality practices.
• Apply AI-driven testing approaches to optimize test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.

The project

We are seeking a Automation QA Engineer to work on a project for a Technology Company.

You will have the following responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure software quality across the delivery lifecycle;


• Validate functional and non-functional requirements to guarantee system reliability and performance;


• Design and execute performance tests, including load and stress testing, based on non-functional requirements


• Analyze performance test results and identify system bottlenecks and improvement opportunities;


• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to improve overall quality and test coverage;


• Contribute to the design and implementation of test frameworks and continuous quality practices;


• Apply AI-driven testing approaches to optimize test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.

You need to have the following skills/experience:

• Strong experience with JMeter for performance testing (mandatory);


• Ability to design performance tests based on non-functional requirements such as load and stress;


• Experience in analyzing performance results and identifying bottlenecks;


• Knowledge of AI-driven testing techniques such as test case generation and optimization;


• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage;


• Experience in manual test case creation and execution;


• Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium and API testing tools like Newman;


• Strong understanding of functional, regression, and exploratory testing;


• Experience in defect management, reporting, and requirements traceability;


• ISTQB Certification or similar;


• English level B2;


• +3 Years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Location

Lisboa, Coimbra or Braga (Hybrid - 2 days per week at the office).
