Job summary

NoeXa - IT Solutions, based in Lisbon, is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to define and implement a test automation strategy using Playwright and GenAI capabilities. You will design a reusable framework, create E2E and API tests, and integrate quality gates across CI/CD, ensuring rapid feedback to development teams.

The role requires senior-level QA experience, strong Playwright skills, and a proactive, autonomous approach in a dynamic, international environment.

Задачи:

• Define and implement the test automation strategy
• Design and build a test framework from scratch with Playwright, prepared to evolve and be reused across applications
• Develop E2E, functional, regression, integration and API tests
• Define standards for test organization, maintenance, reuse and execution
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring continuous feedback to development teams
• Define quality criteria and quality gates for the various phases of the development cycle
• Implement reporting, evidence, traceability and failure analysis
• Promote shift-left testing practices, bringing quality into the early phases
• Use AI/GenAI to generate and maintain test cases, identify scenarios, and analyze results and failures, to increase productivity and coverage

Требования:

• Solid experience as a QA Engineer / QA Automation Engineer, preferably in senior roles
• Advanced experience with Playwright, in TypeScript/JavaScript
• Proven experience creating and evolving automation frameworks from scratch, for Web and API
• Solid knowledge of E2E, regression, integration and API testing strategies
• Command of patterns such as Page Object Model, fixtures, reusable components and data-driven testing
• Experience with parallel execution, retries, tracing, screenshots, videos and test reporting
• Experience with Git, Pull Requests and branching strategies
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD, preferably Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP and authentication, and of API testing tools
• Experience with databases and data validation using SQL
• Ability to analyze logs and errors distributed across frontend, APIs and backend
• Experience with AI/GenAI applied to development and QA, namely AI-assisted testing, test case generation and failure analysis
• Analytical and critical thinking, a sense of responsibility and a focus on quality
• Autonomous and proactive profile, with the ability to challenge processes and propose improvements
• Excellent communication and the ability to turn requirements into clear and objective test scenarios
