Overview

QA Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced QA Engineer to join our team in Funchal, Portugal on an urgent contract basis. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through thorough testing and analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough testing of software products to identify and report any bugs, issues or defects
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and other documentation related to quality assurance processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
• Identify areas for improvement in the product development process and make recommendations for enhancements
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with manual testing as well as automated testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium or Appium
• Ability to write clear and concise test plans, test cases, and bug reports
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python is preferred but not required
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
• Strong communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)

Working Conditions

This is a contract position located in Funchal with no accommodation provided. The salary for this position is $1300 per month. The working hours are 40 hours per week. This is an urgent job opening so candidates who can start immediately will be given preference.
