Jobtailor is seeking a QA/Test Automation Engineer to own the automation strategy for our software platform in Porto. You will design and maintain automated functional, API, and end-to-end tests, integrate them into CI/CD with quality gates, and develop performance testing frameworks.

Qualificações

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
Solid experience as a QA/Test Automation Engineer, SDET, or Software Engineer with a strong quality/testing focus.
Hands-on experience building automated test frameworks and API testing tools.
Practical experience with performance/load testing tools and interpreting latency, throughput, and error-rate results.
Working knowledge of AWS services relevant to testing and automation infrastructure, including EC2, ECS/Fargate, Lambda, CloudWatch, S3, and IAM.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar.
Scripting/programming skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
Familiarity with Docker and ideally Kubernetes/ECS.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code; Terraform/CloudFormation exposure is a plus.
Understanding of monitoring/observability concepts, including metrics, logs, traces, and alerting.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Portuguese is a plus.

Manage test data and environment strategy.
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline design and automated deployment/testing workflows.
Document test strategies, tooling, and runbooks.
Champion a quality-first mindset across the engineering organization.
