Kallidus in Portalegre, Portugal, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to automate testing, collaborate with development teams, and maintain CI pipelines to ensure high-quality releases. This role supports our new Portugal Hub initiative and AI-driven testing approaches.

You will design automated UI and functional tests, apply AI tools to improve productivity and code quality, and help troubleshoot systems under test. A strong SDET background and knowledge of Kubernetes are valued.

Qualificações

• Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with web application testing and CI processes.
• Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architecture.
• An academic qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

The Role

The QA Automation Engineer applies engineering principles to the development of software tests. Your primary goal is to automate the testing process to identify defects and issues before the software reaches end-users, ensuring the product's quality and reliability. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams to implement test strategies, and develop automated tests to ensure our releases meet the highest standards. You will also maintain our CI flows and troubleshoot system issues.

Skills, Experience and Behaviours

• Proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test
• Proficiency in at least one programming language
• Experience with web application testing and Continuous Integration processes
• Familiarity with version control, defect tracking, and test management tools (e.G. GIT, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops)
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and microservices architecture
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• An academic qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
