Expleo Group is seeking a data engineer in Portugal to develop, maintain, and evolve high-volume ETL pipelines and data-processing solutions. You will analyse issues, implement robust fixes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while owning topics end-to-end.

The role emphasizes Python development, PostgreSQL databases, and cloud-based data platforms, with exposure to GCP and Airflow-based orchestration. Lisbon-based or European operations are common for this profile.

• 5+ years of experience in software development and data engineering.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve high-volume ETL and data pipelines.
• Design and implement solutions for large-scale data processing.
• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance of applications and data processes.
• Provide application support and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Investigate and resolve critical production incidents.
• Analyse root causes and implement robust, long-term solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process, performance, and technical improvements.
• Implement and continuously improve existing solutions and pipelines.
• Work with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of assigned topics from analysis through implementation.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams when required.

Essential Skills

• Python — mandatory, with proven experience in ETL and high-volume data pipelines
• Strong knowledge of databases, preferably PostgreSQL

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/Google Cloud Services
