H.B. Fuller Portugal site seeks a Production Planner to coordinate and optimize production processes, ensuring on-time, within-budget manufacture and adherence to quality standards.

This role connects Sourcing, Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Service to enable smooth workflows. Reporting to the Supply & Inventory Manager, the Production Planner will develop schedules, manage materials, monitor bottlenecks, and drive cost-efficient operations while maintaining high quality and timely deliveries

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or business administration.
• Language skills: proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Computer skills: SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Personal skills: teamwork, reliability, persistence, good communicator, ability to work under timely pressure and prioritize.

• Workflow Optimization: Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies; implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs; communicate production updates to Customer Service.

Position Overview

The Production Planner reports to the Supply & Inventory Manager and is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the production process to ensure that products are manufactured on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They act as the bridge between various departments, including Sourcing/ procurement, Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Service, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization. The role of a Production Planner is critical to the success of manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth production flow, cost efficiency, and timely delivery to customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize manufacturing efficiency. Coordinates with production supervisors to align schedules with workforce and equipment availability.
• Resource Planning: Ensure the availability of raw materials, components, and equipment required for production. Collaborate with Purchasing Agents to manage inventory levels and order materials as needed.
• Workflow Optimization: Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. Communicate to Customer Service updates on production status and address any issues impacting delivery.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production data, track progress, and adjust schedules as necessary. Reports on production performance, delays, and corrective actions.
• Coordination with Stakeholders: Liaise with operations, engineering, and R&D teams to align production activities with market needs and project timelines.
• Quality Control: Ensure that production activities adhere to quality standards and specifications. Work closely with quality team to resolve any production defects or concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or business administration
• Language skills: proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Computer skills: familiar with SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Personal skills: teamwork, reliability, persistence, good communicator, very good sense of time; ability to work under timely pressure and prioritize
