Testo seeks a Product Reliability & Test Engineer to join its Albergaria-a-Velha team in Portugal. You will lead reliability and validation testing across hardware and embedded software during development, ensuring robustness and durability while defining acceptance criteria and test scenarios.

You will analyze requirements, plan environmental simulations, create test specs, and drive improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualificações

• Degree or technical training in Engineering or a comparable field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally within product development in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience testing hardware and embedded software.
• Solid knowledge of reliability and testing methods and tools.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and execute reliability and validation testing activities during product development, ensuring hardware and software meet high standards of performance, robustness and durability.
• Review requirements and specifications to define acceptance criteria and derive test scenarios with corresponding test cases.
• Plan and manage environmental simulation testing to assess climatic, mechanical, and corrosive influences on products.
• Create test specifications and perform hardware and software tests throughout the development cycle.
• Ensure reliability and quality maintenance and improvement during product changes across the lifecycle.
• Deliver on product reliability and quality objectives in line with schedule and compliance requirements.
• Introduce new and improved methods for error prevention in product development.
• Collaborate with Development, Purchasing, and Production teams to align quality efforts.

Responsibilities

• In this key role, you will manage and execute reliability and validation testing activities during product development, ensuring that both hardware and software meet the highest standards of performance, robustness and durability.
• Requirements Analysis: Review requirements and specification documents to define acceptance criteria, derive relevant test scenarios and create corresponding test cases.
• Test Management: Plan and manage environmental simulation testing to assess climatic, mechanical, and corrosive influences on products.
• Test Execution: Create test specifications and perform hardware and software tests throughout the development cycle.
• Reliability Assurance in Lifecycle: Ensure effective reliability and quality maintenance and improvement during product changes across the lifecycle.
• Goal Achievement: Deliver on product reliability and quality objectives in line with schedule and compliance requirements.
• Process Improvement: Introduce new and improved methods for error prevention in product development.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Development, Purchasing, and Production teams to align quality efforts.

Your Profile

• Educational Requirements: Degree or technical training in Engineering or a comparable field.
• Work Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in a similar position, ideally within product development in a manufacturing environment.
