Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. procura um Engenheiro de Produto para contactores de alta tensão em Évora, Portugal. O foco é o desenvolvimento de tecnologias HV para mobilidade elétrica, trabalhando com uma equipa internacional e gestão de requisitos desde o design até a industrialização.

O cargo envolve desenho mecânico em CAD 3D, tolerâncias ISO GPS, revisões de design, DFMEA e planos de ensaio, com oportunidades de crescimento e formação contínua na área automotiva.

Qualifications

• Formação: Bacharel/Mestre em engenharia mecânica, elétrica, mecatrônica, ou materiais, física ou equivalente.
• Pelo menos 1 ano na indústria automotiva.
• Pelo menos 1 ano em E-Mobility.
• Projeto mecânico usando software CAD 3D avançado.
• Aplicação de tolerância geométrica e cálculos de tolerância.
• Pensamento analítico, resolução de problemas e avaliação de risco com ferramentas de design modernas.
• Capacidade de colaborar em equipes internacionais e transversais de engenharia.
• Boas habilidades de comunicação e inglês técnico.
• Disposição para viajar.
• Experiência prévia na indústria automotiva é uma vantagem.

Responsibilities

• Executa o design de produto de acordo com requisitos de clientes até a industrialização.
• Lidera a parte de engenharia de produto durante o desenvolvimento e em projetos de melhoria continua conforme requisitos automotivos.
• Considera restrições ambientais aplicáveis durante o novo design ou mudanças.
• Durante o desenvolvimento, trabalha de forma cross-funcional com Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Product Management e outras equipes.
• Cria modelos 3D em CAD e desenhos 2D para peças, montagens e produtos finais, aplicando tolerância ISO GPS.
• Cria desenhos ao cliente e desenhos restritos.
• Realiza revisões de design de produto e DFMEA com as equipes.
• Define o plano de testes para qualificação de acordo com especificações do cliente e internas.
• Apoia melhorias de produto e modificações solicitadas para qualidade ou fabricação.
• Fornece resposta e suporte rápidos a clientes internos e externos.

Your main tasks

• Executes product design in according to external or internal customer requirements provided until industrialization
• Leads the product engineering part during product development projects and leads sustaining engineering projects according to Automotive requirements
• Ensures consideration of all applicable environmental restrictions during new product design and product changes
• During the product development, works cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Product Management and other team members
• Creates 3D models in CAD and 2D production drawings for parts, assemblies and finished products and Engineering specifications for each product in her/his responsibility applying ISO GPS tolerancing
• Creates customer drawings and customer restricted drawings
• Does product design reviews and D-FMEAs with the respective product / project teams
• Defines testing plan for qualification in according to the customer and internal specifications
• Supports product improvements and product modifications requested for quality or manufacturability problems
• Supports analysis of process problems and root cause analysis of quality problems
• Provides timely and effective response and support to both internal and external customers

Your ideal background

• Bachelor / Master of Science in Mechanical-, Electrical-, Mechatronics- or Material Engineering, Physics or similar areas
• At least 1 year Automotive Industry
• At least 1 year E-Mobility
• Mechanical Design using advanced 3D CAD Software
• Application of geometrical tolerancing and tolerance calculations
• Analytic thinking, effective problem-solving skills and risk assessment methods by using modern analysis and design tools
• Skills for collaborating in international, cross-functional engineering project teams
• Good communication skills and technical English Language skills
• Willingness to travel
• Prior experience in Automotive Industry is an advantage
