Job summary

ZF LIFETEC in Ponte de Lima is expanding its Manufacturing Engineering team to develop new automation applications for production lines and to provide technical feedback during customer audits. You will perform capability and MSA studies, collaborate with the application engineer to ensure manufacturability, and define parameters for all process steps.

The role requires a technical background in Airbag Module Assembly, strong problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• BSc or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation).
• Technical background in Airbag Module Assembly.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge in problem solving tools (5W; Ishikawa; PDCA; 8D) preferred.
• Knowledge in quality tools.
• Strong organizational, time management, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the Organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automation applications for production lines.

• Participate to project meeting to acknowledge project requirements and provide feedback to launch manager about tasks status and timing.
• Manage serial production modules.

• Provide technical feedback during customer audits , present and explain, if necessary, process and documentation
• Perform capability and MSA studies for all product and processes
• Work together with application engineer to ensure product manufacturability
• Develop specifications for new production lines, machines and tools
• Responsible to ensure technical conditions for PV builds (machines and tools in serial conditions)
• Responsible to define process parameters for every process step
• Participate to project meeting to acknowledge project requirements andprovide feedback to launch manager about tasks status and timing
• Manage serial production modules
