Acuity Analytics is seeking a Principal Cloud & Platform Engineer to shape the Cloud & Platform strategy and drive technical excellence across our practice. You will partner with senior leaders to define standards, governance, and scalable cloud-native solutions for enterprise clients.

Lead complex initiatives, mentor engineers, and champion DevOps, IaC, and SRE practices while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes.

Qualificações

• Extensive hands-on experience designing and delivering cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture, landing zones, governance, security, and scalable platform design.
• Strong experience in Platform Engineering, including Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) and Developer Experience (DevEx).
• Containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes) and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale distributed systems in production environments.
• Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
• Ability to write production-quality code and provide hands-on technical leadership when required.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, observability, and cloud-native engineering practices.

• Shape architectural standards, engineering principles, and platform best practices across the organisation.
• Identify emerging technologies and strategic opportunities that support business growth and technical innovation.
• Lead the design and review of complex cloud-native and platform solutions.
• Act as the escalation point for critical technical challenges and high-impact engineering decisions.
• Conduct technical reviews, engineering audits, and quality assessments across delivery teams.
• Drive improvements in engineering tooling, developer productivity, and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with clients, delivery teams, architects, and engineering leaders to solve complex business problems.
• Mentor engineers and support the development of future technical leaders.
• Contribute to recruitment activities, helping identify exceptional engineering talent and ensuring strong cultural alignment.
• Represent Acuity Analytics internally and externally through thought leadership, community engagement, speaking opportunities, and technical content.

About the Role

As a Principal Cloud & Platform Engineer, you will operate at the highest level of technical leadership within the organisation. This is not simply a senior engineering position; it is an opportunity to influence engineering strategy, drive innovation, and help define how Acuity Analytics delivers modern cloud and platform solutions for its clients.

Working closely with the Chief Engineer and senior technical leaders, you will shape architectural direction, establish engineering standards, and champion cloud‑native and platform engineering practices across the business. You will act as a trusted advisor on complex technical challenges, providing hands‑on expertise when required while mentoring teams and developing future engineering leaders.

This role combines deep technical capability with strategic influence, making it ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, shaping technical vision, and creating lasting organisational impact.

Skills and Experience Required

Technical Expertise
