Elastic is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to elevate Platform Infrastructure - Application Networking, shaping the future of Elastic Cloud networking. You will own designs for Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security, and drive multi-team initiatives that deliver reliable, scalable services.

The role requires leadership in architectural decisions, operational excellence, and collaboration with product management and senior engineers to align technical direction with business goals

Qualificações

• Experience with building software, including setting technical direction for complex distributed systems running production at scale.
• Deep expertise in application networking and cloud-native architecture; design, operate and evolve Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls.

Responsabilidades

• Set the technical direction for major application networking initiatives from proposal through general availability.
• Lead development of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls at scale for Elastic Cloud; address performance, reliability, and operability issues.
• Lead multi-quarter cross-organizational projects and guide delivery across teams.
• Raise operational quality; lead incident investigations and on-call rotation.
• Mentor engineers; act as a technical advisor and establish standards for software builds.
