Air Traffic Management Operational Expert

As an Air Traffic Management (ATM) Operational Expert at Thales Edisoft Portugal, you will be part of a team responsible for developing the next generation Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, namely, on the field of Tower automation.

Our main goal is to enhance world connectivity by keeping the movement of aircraft at airports secure and allowing people to travel safely, either for business or leisure.

You will have many opportunities to contribute, such as:

• Supporting the continuous development of Thales Tower automation components, such as ASMGCS, EFS or ITWP, by identifying new and innovative features;
• Promoting Thales Tower automation solution in events or in dedicated meetings with end-users, namely Air Traffic Controllers, by performing product presentations/demonstrations;
• Supporting such promotion activities by producing the demonstrations or customer presentations or product marketing and business development documentation;
• Assisting ongoing projects by developing/discussing Tower ConOps, use cases or specific features with customers or technical team;
• Providing operational training to Thales Tower solution users;

Required skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Air Traffic Control
• Ability to produce marketing/product documentation and to define Air Traffic Control CONOPs and use cases
• Willingness to travel frequently and to diverse geographies
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage customer/user relationships
• English proficiency: written and spoken

Desirable Skills

• Specific knowledge of Tower control
• Software/system engineering background
• Ability to speak several languages
