Volkswagen Group Services, hosting the Innovation & Engineering Hub in Lisbon, is seeking a Platform Engineer to advance CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and scalable deployments.

You will design migration-oriented architectures, automate deployments, and collaborate with DevOps peers to improve tooling. Fluent English required.

Qualificações

• Proven ability to automate infrastructure and software deployment using modern DevOps tooling.
• Experience setting up and operating infrastructure for cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture across AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and monitoring/alerting tooling.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve CI/CD principles, standards and reusable pipeline templates.
• Improve highly available cloud infrastructure towards scalable and elastic setups.
• Design migration-oriented architecture solutions for moving on-premises applications into cloud environments.
• Optimize monitoring, build processes and deployment automation.
• Provide clear and easy-to-implement documentation about the DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling environment to the teams.
• Demonstrate ownership when solving problems and overcoming roadblocks.
• Align closely with DevOps peers to provide seamless support to the development teams.
• Scout and evaluate modern CI/CD tools and introduce improvements where they add measurable value.

What do we do on our team?

Autonomous vehicles and their ecosystem are a top strategic topic of the TRATON Group (MAN, Scania, International, VW Truck & Bus) and our partners. To plan and fulfil their missions correctly and timely, our autonomous vehicles are connected to transport and fleet management systems, as well as customer and authority systems. In our team, we provide a platform that integrates, analyzes, and communicates the necessary data between all these systems. This provides easy access and economically efficient use of autonomous vehicles to our customers. We’re looking for passionate team members to help develop these essential components and shape the future of autonomous mobility.

What will your responsbilities be?

What requirements are we looking for?

• Strong expertise in CI/CD design, implementation and platform operation using Gitlab.
• Proven ability to automate infrastructure and software deployment using modern DevOps tooling.
• Experience setting up and operating infrastructure for cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and operation across AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Solid knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code, automation-first engineering practices (preferably using Terraform), alerting and monitoring (preferably using DataDog).
• Experience with CloudFormation, and/or CDK.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based platform approaches.
• Strong DevOps mindset, with “automate everything” as a core working principle.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken.
