Job summary

ALTEN Portugal is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support and review piping design projects in Lisbon, with a hybrid work setup. The role focuses on creating and reviewing technical drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and 3D modeling of piping systems and supports.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and has 2–6 years of professional piping design experience, preferably in industrial or process plant environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• 2–6 years of professional piping design or mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience in 3D modeling of piping systems, supports, and plant layouts.

Responsibilities

• Isometric creation: develop and review detailed isometric drawings for piping systems.
• P&ID creation and reading: design and analyze P&IDs for process flows and equipment integration.
• 3D piping and supports modeling: create 3D models using Autodesk Inventor and Plant 3D and perform clash detection.
• Generate comprehensive pipe plant layouts with equipment placement, piping networks, and utilities.
