Jobtailor is seeking a senior PHP Engineer to contribute across the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment. You will focus on code quality, reusability, and robust design while mentoring teammates and adopting new technologies.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of PHP experience (7.3–8.1), strong OOP and SOLID knowledge, relational DB expertise, and English proficiency. Collaboration with the team and adherence to release processes are essential.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of PHP experience with versions 7.3 to 8.1.
• Academic background in IT or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, OOP, Design Patterns and SOLID.
• Experience with relational DBMS.
• Familiar with project tools (Atlassian, Git or SVN).
• Experience with testing levels (unit, integration, functional).
• Proficient in English.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in the entire software development cycle - requirements analysis, design and development, unit testing and documentation
• Responsible for long-term code reusability and stability

• Works independently, without guidance, with a broader overview of the project
• Takes ownership of the delivery of complex application features and resolves key technical issues related to the assigned project
• Complies with the estimation process and is responsible for accurate personal estimates
• Develops required software features, achieving timely and quality delivery
• Delivers trainings and participates in knowledge sharing
• Mentors new software engineers in the team
• Integrates new technologies
• Understands and follows the release processes in the company

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with PHP;
• Academic background in IT or equivalent;
• Strong working experience and knowledge with PHP from 7.3 to 8.1;
• Clear understanding of OOP, Design Patterns and anti-patterns, and SOLID principles;
• Working experience with relational Databases DBMS;
• A good understanding of project tools (Atlassian OR git/svn ...) is required;
• Experienced with testing layers (unit, integration, and functional testing);
• Knowledge in algorithms and distributed systems;
• Proficiency in English.
