A research institution in Portugal is seeking a Doctorate Researcher to engage in applied and fundamental research in offshore structures and ocean energy projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for dynamic simulations, metocean studies, and contribute to innovation projects in the maritime industry. Candidates must possess a PhD in relevant engineering fields and experience in dynamic modelling and hydrodynamic testing. This full-time position offers a gross monthly salary of €2782.63 and integrates a multicultural work environment.

Qualificações

• PhD with a suitable curriculum is required.
• Previous experience in international research projects preferred.
• Experience in subsea cable engineering and route optimisation is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct applied and fundamental research in offshore structures.
• Perform numerical assessments and dynamic simulations.
• Engage in metocean studies and analyze metoceanographic data.

Conhecimentos

Experience in dynamic modelling of floating structures

Experimental skills in hydrodynamic testing

Metocean analysis

Programming skills (Python, Matlab, R)

Formação académica

PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Ocean Engineering
