What is this challenge about:

• Conduct load, stress, capacity, and stability tests to evaluate application performance under various usage scenarios.
• Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks, latency issues, and other related problems.
• Create, automate, and maintain performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Load Runner, or other relevant tools.
• Work closely with developers and infrastructure engineers to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Recommend and collaborate on continuous improvements to enhance system scalability and stability.
• Prepare detailed reports on test results, including findings and suggestions for performance improvements.
• Track application performance in production environments to ensure ongoing compliance with performance requirements.

What we are looking for:

• +4 years of experience as a Performance QA.
• Advanced level of English (B2/C1).
• Open to working 1 to 2 times per month at the office in Lisbon.
• Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Load Runner, BlazeMeter, or similar.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Java, Python, Groovy) for test automation.
• Strong understanding of performance concepts such as response time, throughput, latency, error rates, and bottleneck analysis.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and distributed infrastructure.
• Ability to analyze and interpret logs to identify performance issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly report findings to both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience with real-time performance monitoring using tools such as New Relic, Datadog, App Dynamics, etc.
• Knowledge of databases and query optimization (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
