Volkswagen Financial Services Portugal is seeking a dedicated tester to support performance testing across market projects in Porto. You will work with experienced engineers to create and execute performance tests, maintain assets, monitor executions and drive process improvements.

The role requires a degree in informatics or computer science, enthusiasm for performance testing, and familiarity with tools like JMeter, LoadRunner or Artillery.io, plus Jira and Git.

Qualificações

• Bachelor or Master in informatics, computer science or comparable.
• Enthusiastic about performance testing principles, with some experience in building and delivering solutions or development.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as Artillery.io, LoadRunner or JMeter.
• Understanding of application lifecycle management tools (JIRA) and version control systems (GIT).

Objectives:

As a member of the VWFS Porto Test Team, you will support the delivery of performance testing services across market projects, helping to ensure product quality from a non-functional perspective. Working alongside experienced performance engineers, you will contribute to the creation and execution of performance tests, maintenance of test assets, monitoring of test executions, and continuous improvement of performance testing practices, tools, and ways of working.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Support the development of performance test plans that outline scope, objectives, resources, schedules, and methods to be used
• Basic understanding the concept of performance testing tools and frameworks
• Support the development and execution of performance tests on behalf of market projects.
• Monitor test executions and assist in documenting test results.
• Providing continuous maintenance of test sets for all engaged markets

Level of decision-making power/authorization:

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of performance testing practices.
• Contribute to the evaluation of new tools and methods.

We believe that the right profile for this job should have / be:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in informatics, computer science or comparable
• An enthusiastic in performance test principles, with some experience in building and delivering solutions or development
• Knowledge in performance testing tools such as; Artillery.io, LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar
• Understanding the concept and basic using application lifecycle management tools (JIRA) and version control systems (GIT)
• Enjoy working in an international team/ project team
• degree of initiative, responsibility, assertiveness, and willingness to travel
• Positive and team-minded person with excellent communication and presentation skills
• Speaks & writes English fluently
