Sovos in Lisbon is seeking a Payment Services Representative to manage client money, allocate payments, reconciliations and deal with internal queries. The role requires liaising with Managed Services Teams to ensure accurate, timely payments are completed.

What you’ll do includes recording all client transactions, reconciling multicurrency accounts, maintaining documentation, and meeting strict deadlines while handling confidential information with discretion.

Qualificações

• 1+ years of office work experience preferred; accounting/finance experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to manage stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Office; high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.

The Work You’ll Do:

Working as part of the Payment Services Team, the Payment Services Representative is responsible for managing client money, allocating payments, reconciliations and dealing with internal queries. The Payment Services Representative is expected to liaise and clearly communicate with Managed Services Teams to ensure accurate timely payments are completed.

What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?

• Accurately record all transactions made on behalf of clients
• Ensure all payments are accurate and processed within strict deadlines
• Reconcile multicurrency bank accounts to internal records
• Ensure process documentation is kept up to date
• Identify, prioritize, and resolve issues; coordinate with appropriate internal departments to provide timely response and solutions
• Efficiently collaborate with the Managed Services Teams and other departments to ensure all deadlines are being met
• Maintain goals and key measures to ensure progress and alignment with desired business outcomes for clients
• Ensure compliance with applicable taxing authorities and client-specified procedures by adhering to internal policies and procedures
• Ensures internal policies and procedures are adhered to, based on established guidelines
• Acts with integrity and demonstrates ethical behaviour in all matters with all stakeholders
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

What We Need From You:

• 1+ years of office work experience preferred and previous experience in accounting or finance is a strong plus
• Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Stakeholder management experience
• Proficiency in Excel (mandatory) and other MS Office products
• Excellent communication and customer service skills in dealing with internal and external customers
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a structured environment
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgment
