BrightHire in Faro, Portugal is seeking a part-time PHP Developer to design and implement features for our web applications. You will work with PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, maintain code quality, and optimize performance. Collaboration with designers and managers is important for turning ideas into working software.

The role is based in Faro with on-site work; you may need a biometric passport or valid work authorization in Portugal. Accommodation can be provided if needed.

Qualificações

• Proficient in PHP programming language.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other web technologies.
• Familiarity with SQL databases and database design.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Good problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Biometric passport or ability to obtain one.

Responsabilidades

• Develop new features and functionality for web applications using PHP and related languages.
• Troubleshoot and debug existing codebase.
• Optimize application performance via code optimization and caching.
• Collaborate with designers, developers and PMs from concept to implementation.
• Conduct thorough testing of developed features before deployment.
• Maintain and update existing codebase as needed.
• Keep up-to-date with industry developments and adopt new technologies where applicable.
