Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is hiring for a part-time Vehicle Transport role in Portugal. You will operate motor vehicles on the premises to move and stage cars for auction activities, reporting to the Operations Manager.

The schedule is Tue 1pm-5pm, Wed 9am-6pm, Thu 9am-6pm, Fri 7:30am-4:30pm with Sat-Sun-Mon off. Responsibilities include safe driving, lot flow, staging, inventory scanning, jump-start assistance, and adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements.
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• Automotive or auction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications.

Responsibilities

• Safe Operations: Always operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits.
• Vehicle Staging: Support efficient lot flow and ensure vehicles are positioned accurately to meet operational and sale day needs.
• Operational Support: Safely move, stage, and park various makes, models, sizes, and conditions of vehicles in designated lot areas throughout the shift.
• Efficiency: Move vehicles from the finish line to designated parking spots using alphanumeric ordering.
• Inventory Tracking: Scan parked vehicles in the Internal Tracking system to maintain accurate inventory and record movement.
• Maintenance: Jump-start vehicles using a battery box as required.
• Safety Compliance: Maintain work areas to ensure a safe environment and promptly notify managers of all driving-related incidents or potential hazards.
• Policy Adherence: Follow company procedures involving accidents, injuries, or property damage, and ensure all state or federal laws are followed.
• Other Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.
