Job summary

PrimeEstate in Funchal is seeking a skilled part-time Baker to join our bakery on a contract basis. You will prepare and bake a variety of breads and pastries, following our recipes and quality standards to ensure consistent taste and presentation.

The role requires previous baking experience, the ability to follow recipes, and strong time-management skills. Weekend or early-morning availability is preferred, and you will lift up to 50 lbs. This position offers growth within the baking field.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Baker or in a similar role.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately.
• Knowledge of different types of doughs, fillings, icings, etc.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work on weekends or early mornings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes and quality standards to ensure consistency and taste.
• Monitor oven temperatures and baking times to ensure proper cooking.
• Decorate baked goods with icing, glazes and other toppings as needed.
• Clean and maintain work area, equipment and tools.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
