Job summary

ApexBuild Solutions in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal is seeking a part-time Android Developer to join our mobile team. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications across client projects, working about 20 hours per week.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of Android experience, strong Java and Kotlin skills, and familiarity with Android SDK, RESTful APIs, and agile processes. We offer visa sponsorship for non-EU applicants and a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional Android development experience.
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with Android SDK, RESTful APIs, and third-party libraries.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by clients or QA.
• Ensure code quality through writing clean, efficient code and conducting code reviews.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings to provide progress updates and discuss roadblocks.
