A leading product development company in Portugal is seeking a Quality Assurance professional responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental and health & safety legislation. You will support new unit developments, manage regulatory requirements, and prepare compliance reports. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Engineering or Sciences and has certification as a health and safety technician, along with knowledge of HACCP processes.

The Team

We are the Quality Assurance Department and we are focused on the various processes of certification and quality, where we seek to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements regarding product conformity, environment, occupational safety and social responsibility.

The Role

You will be responsible for assuring the follow up of the applicable legislation in terms of environment and health & safety at the company, as well as keeping legal conformity regarding the different operations in the Group.

You will also give support to new business units development, taking into consideration operations and legal requirements and giving support to licensing processes; also, you will follow up, control and give support to regulatory requirements regarding environment and health & safety.

It will be needed that you follow up and control the interventions in the fire fighting equipments, chemical products management and also collect technical and safety data files.

You will elaborate quarterly reports on compliance, by unit.

You

You have a degree in Engineering or Sciences and are a certified health and safety technician. You have knowledge in quality management systems, as well as health & safety, safety at work and experience in the industrial area. You are used to legislation and it's interpretation. You have knowledge about quality certification processes such as HACCP.

Mandatory Certifications:

• Senior Occupational Health and Safety Technician Professional Title (TSST/Level VI)
• Professional Competency Certificate for Trainers (CCP)

You are a team worker and an excellent communicator and your favorite weapons are your voice and your pen.
