Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Network Security Automation Engineer to join our international team in Porto. You will design and implement automation frameworks to accelerate network operations, streamline provisioning, and improve reliability across multi-vendor environments.

Key responsibilities include developing Python-based automation, Ansible workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and telemetry solutions, with a focus on security and observability.

Qualificações

• Proficient in Python development for network automation with libraries such as Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, PyEZ.
• Experienced with Ansible automation, Jinja2 templating, GitLab, and CI/CD implementations.
• Strong knowledge of network management protocols including NETCONF, RESTCONF, gNMI, gNOI and vendor APIs.
• Solid understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, VXLAN technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Automate network device provisioning, configuration management, and change management across multi-vendor environments.
• Develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure automation and network configuration deployment.

• Automate data centre networks including routing, switching, VXLAN-EVPN fabrics, and traffic optimization.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Network Security Automation Engineer to join our teams in a highly challenging international project focused on accelerating network automation, infrastructure orchestration, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in designing and implementing automation frameworks, streamlining network operations, and enhancing the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of complex multi-vendor network environments.

What you will do:

• Design, develop, and maintain network automation solutions using Python, Ansible, Jinja2, and Git-based workflows;
• Automate network device provisioning, configuration management, and change management processes across multi-vendor environments;
• Develop and integrate CI/CD pipelines to support infrastructure automation and network configuration deployment;
• Implement network monitoring, validation, telemetry, and automated remediation solutions to improve operational efficiency and service reliability;
• Automate data centre networking environments, including routing, switching, VXLAN-EVPN fabrics, and traffic optimisation capabilities;
• Integrate automation frameworks with network management, observability, security, and inventory platforms such as NetBox and monitoring solutions;
• Collaborate with network, infrastructure, and security teams to establish automation standards, best practices, and governance models.

What you are like:

• Proficient in Python development for network automation, including libraries such as Netmiko, NAPALM, Nornir, and PyEZ;
• Experienced with Ansible automation, Jinja2 templating, GitLab, and CI/CD implementations;
• Strong knowledge of network management protocols, including NETCONF, RESTCONF, gNMI, gNOI, and vendor APIs;
• Solid understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts, routing protocols, network design principles, and VXLAN technologies;
• Experienced working with network vendors such as Juniper, Arista, Cisco, Fortinet/FortiGate, and Check Point;
• Familiar with monitoring, observability, and telemetry technologies, including SNMP, NetFlow, sFlow, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and log analysis platforms;
• Comfortable working with Linux environments, particularly Red Hat Linux, including system administration and scripting activities;
• Knowledge of infrastructure inventory and operational tools such as NetBox, JIRA, NetBrain, LogicMonitor, or similar platforms;
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a proactive and automation-first mindset;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in dynamic, multicultural, and technology-driven environments.
