HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its enterprise infrastructure team in Portugal. You will manage day-to-day operations across multi-vendor networks, including Cisco, HP Aruba, Fortigate and SonicWall devices, and support VPNs within VMware environments.
You will participate in major initiatives such as SD-WAN, LAN/Wi-Fi refreshes, and automation of repetitive tasks while maintaining accurate network diagrams and runbooks.

You will become part of an Infrastructure team responsible for supporting a complex, multi-vendor enterprise network while contributing to major connectivity and infrastructure transformation initiatives.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer who enjoys working across different technologies, solving complex connectivity issues and improving the reliability of network operations. You will collaborate with infrastructure teams, business stakeholders and technology vendors in a technically demanding environment.
You will support day-to-day network operations across a multi-vendor enterprise environment, working with Cisco and HP Aruba switching, routing and wireless infrastructure. You will also administer and support Fortigate and SonicWall firewalls, including security policies, rules, firmware and device health.
The role includes configuration and troubleshooting of site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, as well as network support for VMware virtualised environments. You will participate in daily operational checks, monitoring and alert review while taking ownership of network incidents through to resolution and root-cause analysis.
Alongside BAU operations, you will contribute to significant infrastructure initiatives, including an SD-WAN implementation and LAN and Wi-Fi refresh programmes. Your responsibilities may include design input, site migrations, configuration, testing, cutovers, validation and the handover of new environments into BAU operations.
Automation and continuous improvement are also important aspects of the role. You will be encouraged to automate repetitive configuration, backup and compliance tasks while maintaining accurate network diagrams, configurations, procedures and runbooks.
Compensation: €2,300 – €3,050/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
