BlueHorizon in Funchal is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to manage daily operations of our computer networks and systems in Funchal.

You will install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data security with regular backups. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and familiarity with Windows Server, Linux/Unix, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking protocols; English and Portuguese skills are preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Prior experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP DNS DHCP
• Familiarity with operating systems like Windows Server Linux/Unix
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Portuguese preferred
• Biometric passport is required for this role
