Devoteam Group is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our development team. You will design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications, contributing to architectural decisions and promoting engineering best practices in an international environment.

You will build scalable RESTful APIs with Node.js and ExpressJS, model relational databases, and drive DevOps via Docker. You will participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and help ensure high availability of core systems.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of proven professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Solid command and production-grade experience with Node.js and ExpressJS.
• Extensive hands-on experience with relational databases (SQL), data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and securing RESTful APIs and service orchestration.
• Familiarity with containerization tools, specifically Docker, for managing environments.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git, and CI flows.
• Fluent or advanced English communication skills in an international distributed team.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and adherence to software engineering best practices.

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Node.js and ExpressJS, ensuring clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.

• Build, optimize, and secure robust RESTful APIs and microservices capable of handling high-throughput production workloads.

• Architect efficient relational database models (SQL), optimizing complex queries and managing schema design to ensure transaction integrity.

• Take an active role in technical decisions, system architecture design, and the continuous improvement of the engineering lifecycle.

• Participate heavily in code reviews, providing constructive architectural feedback to team members to ensure alignment with corporate quality standards.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues in a timely manner, guaranteeing system high availability.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams to translate technical and business requirements into production-ready software solutions.

• Foster a strong DevOps culture by leveraging containerization (Docker) to streamline local development and production deployment pipelines.

• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, technical refinement, and retrospectives.
