Empa-T is seeking a skilled MuleSoft Developer to design, develop, and evolve integration solutions across financial services systems. You will build and maintain APIs and integration flows, following best practices for reliability, security, and scalability.

The role emphasizes API-led connectivity, DataWeave transformations, and collaboration with architects, developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver scalable integration capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in software development and/or systems integration.
• Hands-on MuleSoft development experience required.
• Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Studio.
• Strong API skills: REST, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger, RAML/XML/JSON.
• Security: OAuth 2.0, JWT, TLS basics; API security practices.

About the Project

You will join a multidisciplinary technology team responsible for developing and maintaining integration solutions across different business applications and systems within the financial ecosystem.

Working closely with Developers, Architects, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other technical stakeholders, you will contribute to the design and implementation of APIs and integration flows using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, troubleshooting, and software development best practices, as well as the ability to understand complex business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP APIs and reusable integration services.
• Design and implement Mule applications and integration flows using Anypoint Studio.
• Work with API-led connectivity principles, including System, Process, and Experience APIs.
• Develop data transformations and mappings using DataWeave.
• Integrate MuleSoft solutions with internal and external systems, databases, APIs, and third-party services.
• Participate in API design, documentation, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and identify root causes across applications and services.
• Ensure solutions follow development, security, performance, and integration best practices.
• Collaborate with architecture and development teams to define scalable integration solutions.
• Monitor Mule applications and APIs, supporting incident resolution and continuous improvement.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation related to APIs and integration solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of integration standards and development practices.

Skills & Experience

• +4 years of professional experience in software development and/or systems integration.
• Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft development.
• Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Studio.
• Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs and SOAP Web Services.
• Experience with DataWeave 2.0 for data transformation and mapping.
• Knowledge of API-led connectivity and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, RAML, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Understanding of authentication and API security mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and TLS.
• Experience integrating applications with relational databases and external services.
• Familiarity with Anypoint API Manager, monitoring, and API lifecycle management.
• Experience with version control tools such as Git.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
