Bayer CropScience Limited in Portugal seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to serve as a scientific expert between Bayer and the medical community.

You will translate local medical plans into TL engagement strategies, build long-term relationships with physicians, scientists and academic centres, and disseminate scientific information through one-on-one meetings, group discussions and symposia.

Qualificações

• Has studied a scientific subject to a high standard, i.e. Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in medicine, natural sciences or pharmacology.
• Has worked in a medical/pharmaceutical field, dealing with drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical related activities.
• Possess basic knowledge of TA Products
• Preferable to have business acumen / knowledge, gained through academic study or work experience in a pharma or equivalent organization
• Track record of successfully dealing with internal and/or external stakeholders to develop coherent strategy/ approach or to gain support on key issues
• Successfully led workstreams / projects and organized scientific engagement platforms and events
• Has experience learning and using digital technology on-the-fly to develop communications, brand / TA campaigns and/or conduct analysis of medical data and generate insights
• Balances Stakeholders & Interpersonally Savvy - Proactively building relationships with different stakeholders
• Influencing, building trust, curability and seeking buy‑in from peers / internal and external stakeholders
• Business Insights & Customer Focus - Build strong customer (TLs) relationships, deliver customer centric solutions (communicating scientific data in a way that relates to various customer groups), while aligning with Bayer’s business needs
• Nimble Learning & Self-Development & Tech Savvy – picking and applying new trends, practices, report engagements in MedCRM

Responsabilidades

• Drive medical strategy by translating the local medical plan into implementable TL engagement strategies with cross-functional teams and identify synergies with Bayer and the general medical community.
• Review and interpret interaction analytics related to TL engagement and take appropriate actions; keep abreast with latest scientific research in therapeutic areas and competitors.
• Develop strategic perspective and understanding of Bayer’s commercial, go-to-market strategies and healthcare landscape to anticipate business and stakeholder needs and shape plans accordingly.
• Foster strong partnerships across MSL territories and act as trusted advisor to shape TL engagement and disseminate insights through digital and physical channels.
• Identify TLs to engage, maintain up-to-date segmentation, and generate TL insights to inform tactics and strategy.
• Support Market Access presentations of new information to hospital formularies.
