Bosch Aveiro is seeking a Mechanical Development Engineer to contribute to residential heat pump solutions. You will specify, calculate, simulate, and test advanced heat pump components, driving maximum efficiency and low carbon footprint.

This role involves leading discussions with suppliers and shaping technical documentation for safe, compliant products. You will work in a cross-functional, multicultural team in Aveiro, collaborating with production, R&D, and external partners to deliver

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience in component sizing, selection, and hands-on laboratory validation.
• Background in product development in HVAC.
• Familiarity with design and quality frameworks such as FMEA, DFMA, 8D, and DRBFM is a strong advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Specify, calculate, simulate, and physically test advanced heat pump components and systems.
• Author comprehensive technical specifications and lead technical discussions with global suppliers.
• Create and execute robust validation plans and document results and safety compliance.
• Coordinate product market introductions and support ramp-up in production lines.

What distinguishes you

Education

Master's degreein Mechanical Engineering, Physics Engineering, or a closely related field.

Experience

Proven experience in component sizing, selection, and hands-on laboratory validation. Background in product development in HVAC

Know-how

Familiarity with design and quality frameworks such as FMEA, DFMA, 8D, and DRBFM is a strong advantage.

Languages
