Thor seeks an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join the on-site team in Portugal. The role focuses on taking EPODs from concept through manufacturing, testing and delivery, collaborating with engineering, production and quality teams.

Responsibilities include designing steel structures, creating 3D models in Inventor, and producing GA and BOMs while driving design-for-manufacture improvements and maintaining documentation.

Qualificações

• Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3–5+ years of mechanical design experience.
• Available to work on-site in Viana do Castelo, 5 days a week.
• Autodesk Inventor experience is essential.
• Understanding of manufacturing and design-for-manufacture.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good communication skills in English.

Join a high-end engineering and manufacturing business operating at the forefront of the data centre industry. The company designs and manufactures advanced, factory-built power modules that enable data centres to be delivered faster, more efficiently and to consistently high standards.

I am seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to join an engineering and manufacturing team focused on the design and development of EPODs (power modules).

The role will involve taking mechanical designs from concept through to manufacturing, testing and delivery, working closely with engineering, production and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and calculate steel structures for EPODs
• Develop 3D models using Autodesk Inventor
• Produce GA, assembly and manufacturing drawings
• Create and manage accurate BOMs
• Maintain 3D models and documentation using Inventor and Vault
• Update documentation to reflect as-built conditions
• Support production, testing and delivery
• Drive continuous improvements to design and manufacturing processes
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and HSE requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Experience in industrial manufacturing, machinery, marine, energy, power generation, automation, oil & gas or modular construction would be highly relevant.
