Job summary

LILT is seeking professional or semi-professional voice talents for an exciting project. You will voice in a natural, conversational, and engaging manner with clear articulation and natural pauses.

As an independent contractor, you control your schedule and workload. You may work on diverse AI and language technology projects from anywhere, with fast, fair payments and opportunities to advance within a global linguist community.

Qualifications

• Must be a native speaker of Portuguese
• Experience with voice acting, narration, podcasting, or streaming
• Access to a home recording setup
• Have recording software, microphone, headset/speakers, audio interface, DAW and plugins
• Live in a quiet, treated space free from background noise
• Able to follow technical recording requirements and provide voice demos
• Open to licensing voice for AI voice cloning / TTS training
• May undergo a test module for vetting against requirements

About The Opportunity

We are looking for professional or semi-professional voice talents with a passion for language and technology for an exciting project.

Voice characteristics:

Female, "mature" (~35–55 years old), natural rather than polished/robotic — retaining natural pauses, disfluencies, and natural word emphasis.

Personality and Tone:

1. Conversational and likeable for customers (e.g., friendly, empathetic, patient)

1. Natural and approachable in a dialogue

1. Intelligent, confident, engaged, and builds trust

1. Welcoming and accommodating without being earnest, sycophantic or too eager to please

1. Ability to convey the desired personality traits (e.g., friendly, confident, helpful)

Speech Quality and Clarity:

1. Easy to follow and clear

1. Consistent, moderate pace with natural pauses

Qualifications

• Must be native speaker of the target locale

• Experience with voice acting, narration, podcasting, or streaming

• Access to a home recording setup

  • Treated space, quiet environment, free from background noise, music, clicks, muffling, etc.

• Able to follow specific technical requirements when recording (volume level, file naming, format, gaps between segments, audio quality, etc.)

• Able to provide demo, sample recordings, voiceover samples

• Comfortable with fast-turnaround projects and able to meet tight delivery deadlines when engaged

• Open to licensing your voice for AI voice cloning / TTS training

• Depending on the project, you may undergo a test in our module to be subsequently vetted against all requirements.

Step 2: Submit samples of voice work and/or take a test in our text platform. If a test is required, you will be asked to verify equipment, rates and fees, availability, etc.
