Job summary

FORVIA is seeking a Material Planner Trainee in Portugal to ensure production line delivery aligns with stock targets and logistics costs. You will build procurement programs, monitor deliveries, and work with suppliers to ensure capacity and transportation are aligned with planning goals.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering or management degree, with proficiency in English, SAP, and Excel, and a proactive, collaborative mindset to drive improvements across procurement and logistics.

Qualifications

• The candidate should hold a degree in Engineering, Management (or similar).
• Proficiency in English and SAP is required.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with supplier scheduling and inventory basics.

Responsibilities

• Build up the Procurement Program by splitting up and levelling pieces procurement.
• Follow up the Procurement Program realisation by managing alert systems and follow unloading, receipt and transport of pieces.
• Monitor supplier performance (Misdeliveries per Million) and logistics partner service, proposing improvements.
• Check if PIC-based capacity can be supported by suppliers and set corrective actions.
• Manage the transportation program monthly and the scheme semi-annually.
• Direct packaging management.
• Ensure logistics conventions comply with purchasing objectives and supplier conditions.
