S2AQUAcoLAB invites applications for a Research Fellowship (Graduate) in marine biology, biology, aquaculture, or related fields. The fellowship, within the AlgFlavor project, involves field collection and laboratory work at Tavira, with a 40-hour work week and a training component.

Applicants must be enrolled in an integrated master’s or equivalent programme and be highly motivated, autonomous, and proficient in English. The call period runs from mid-September to 29 September 2026.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree required in marine biology, biology, aquaculture, or equivalent field.
• Experience with marine organism culture systems.
• Ability to work independently in laboratory and field.
• Enrollment in an integrated master’s, master’s, or doctoral programme related to the educational project.

Responsabilidades

• Collect macroalgae along the Portuguese coast.
• Plan, implement, and optimize macroalgae cultivation under controlled conditions.
• Analyze data, write reports, and disseminate results; develop knowledge-transfer content.
