The opportunity

Assurance professionals play a vital role in the economy by providing companies, investors and regulators with expert, independent advice about the validity of financial statements and other critical information or processes. We work closely with our clients, analysing their business, understanding their strengths and weaknesses, identifying areas requiring improvement and we employ that knowledge to create added value for our clients using the latest audit technology.

Your key responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored audit solutions.
  • Lead the planning and execution of audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development and performance.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of audit work, reviewing deliverables and providing constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with audit engagements, developing strategies to mitigate those risks effectively.
  • Prepare and present audit findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvement within the audit function, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting and auditing standards, ensuring that the audit team adheres to all relevant regulations.
  • Participate in business development activities, identifying opportunities for new services and contributing to proposals and presentations.
  • Work closely with other service lines and departments within EY to provide integrated solutions to clients.

To qualify for the role, you must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as CPA, CA, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in auditing, preferably in a large accounting firm or corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of auditing standards, accounting principles, and applicable regulations.
  • Familiarity with auditing tools and data analysis software, as well as an understanding of technology trends and their application in auditing.
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience in consulting.
  • Ability to work in multicultural projects and environments.
  • Analytical mindset.
