Schreiber Foods Portugal, S.A. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment at our Castelo Branco facility.

You will diagnose faults, support planned maintenance, and respond to unplanned breakdowns to keep production running smoothly. Candidates should have a technical education, at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, and comfortable reading technical drawings and using maintenance documentation.

Qualificações

• Secondary technical or vocational education in mechanics, electrical systems, or a related technical field.
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or plant maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
• Practical knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance methods.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance systems, documentation, and reporting.
• Reliability, responsibility, and ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Willingness to work in physically demanding and operational plant environments.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and technical systems according to maintenance plans and procedures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or technical faults and carry out repairs within defined competence and authority.
• Support execution of planned maintenance activities and respond to unplanned breakdowns.
• Carry out maintenance tasks using internal procedures, technical documentation, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other plant partners to minimize operational disruptions.
• Record completed work, inspections, and findings in the maintenance management system.
• Support spare-parts usage by identifying required materials and reporting inventory needs.
• Assist with minor building repairs and general facility maintenance as assigned.
• Participate in root-cause analysis and corrective actions related to equipment failures.
• Follow health, safety, environmental, and food safety requirements and report non-standard situations.
