Job summary

Side is seeking a Localization QA Game Tester to join our QA team. You will review the localized game across text, images and UI, ensuring accurate translations and cultural suitability for European audiences.

Work 100% remotely within Europe, with potential for on-site or freelancer arrangements. Fluency in Simplified Chinese and conversational English are required; no prior game QA experience is necessary.

About the role

As Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team and be the very first person to see the localized game in its entirety – translated text, images and the rest of the user interface collectively. You’ll get to experience the project in the way it will be consumed by the end users. You will work in a multilingual project team ensuring that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies and ultimately ensuring that the game is accurately localized into the target language.

Key Responsibilities

Our Localization QA team conducts language checks on upcoming games across a variety of cutting-edge platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and various mobile and tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you will be working on top gaming titles for some of the world’s leading publishers.

Requirements

• No experience required . Just fluency in Simplified Chinese and conversational in English.


• Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.


• Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.


• Robust Internet research skills.


• Excellent attention to detail.


• Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.


• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.


• Candidate must be located within Europe.
